What a marvelous Sunday August 12 Croatia had at the Olympics – first handball bronze and then came the Games competitions finale and the Croatian waterpolo team won gold.

CROATIA, in this sport, won her first Olympic Games gold medal in the men’s water polo with an 8-6 win over Italy in the final.

Croatia remained unbeaten in the tournament to go one better than their silver medal at Atlanta in 1996 when they beat Italy in the semi-final.

Croatia only has 4.3 million people and yet she won 6 medals at the London Olympic Games – not many countries can say that – not many countries can boast of such excellence in the ratio: total population/Olympic Glory Medals.

So proud!
