Croatian Diaspora Role In Development Of Homeland Life Opportunities
Ina Vukic, July 2019, Laudato TV PROSUDBE

On 25 July 2019 my appearance on Laudato TV in Croatia was broadcasted and the public broadcast (in the Croatian language) is now on Youtube. The issues discussed on the TV Program Prosudbe (Judgments, Opinions) concentrated on included current legislation – its lack of spirit and word in genuinely reflecting the widespread national calls for the return to Croatia of Croats living abroad, the need for Croatian diaspora knowhow to increase its direct role in decision-making in Croatia, the key role Croatian diaspora played in creating independent and democratic Croatia as a basis in taking and asserting rights in participating directly in shaping the modern Croatia and thus increasing the likelihood of return…Ina Vukic

Ina your passion for your native country and drive for fairness and justice is truly a remarkable achievement in all you do. I would not be able to understand your native tongue, but have no doubts that all your efforts are bringing awareness about the political situation that is still ongoing will reach out and reap dividends far and wide..
Sending much love your way Ina.. You are one remarkable woman with a true purpose in bringing to light so many wrongs..

    Love and Blessings

    Ina,
Your comment “our motivation was for the next generation of Croatian youth to have the same opportunities we have in the diaspora”

Fantastic, truthful comment, well said !!!

Unfortunately, they will have difficulty understanding this idea.

Thanks Splithead. Yes one cannot fully understand what one has not seen and experienced, but there are those that do and they come from the diaspora…

I am a Bosnian Croat and I survived the Serb of Siege of Sarajevo. 1200 Croat Civilians died in Sarajevo killed by Serb artillery and snipers. And 2000 Croatian men grabbing their guns joined the Bosnian government army and defended Sarajevo. Long live Croats !!!

I’m Ina

I was born in Croatia and live Australia. I have been described as a prominent figure known for my contribution to the Croatian and wider societies, particularly in the context of Croatia’s transition from communism to democracy, as well as for my many years of work as a clinical psychologist and Chief Executive Officer of government-funded services for people with disabilities, including mental health services, in Australia. In 1995, the President of the Republic of Croatia awarded me two Medals of Honor, the Homeland War Memorial Medal and the Order of the Croatian Trefoil for her special merits and her contribution to the founding of the Republic of Croatia.  I have been a successful blogger since 2011 and write extensively in the English-language on issues related to Croatian current affairs and democracy, as well as the challenges Croatia faced and still faces in its transition from communism. My goal is to raise awareness of these connections and issues worldwide.
